Planning a tournament?
sports Zugerland in Cham has everything your tournament needs, from indoor courts and modern changing rooms to dining on site. Organisers can use our facilities exclusively for their own tournaments: sports Zugerland provides the infrastructure, not the organisation.
Booking the facilities
sports Zugerland makes its sports facilities available to tournament organisers in certain time slots. Booking requests are required and are confirmed subject to availability.
Once a booking is confirmed, a non-refundable booking fee of 10% of the total hire cost becomes due. It is payable within 30 days of booking, and at the latest 10 days before the event. The fee is offset against the final invoice. If the event is cancelled, the booking fee is still payable.
Prices and payment
Tournament organisers benefit from a special rate. Depending on the tournament format, you receive up to 25% discount per court.
Within 10 days of the tournament you'll receive a single invoice for all the facilities you used. It is payable within 10 days of receipt.
Cancellation terms
Up to 1 week before the event
No cancellation fee applies.
Up to 48 hours before the event
10% of the hire cost is invoiced as a cancellation fee (on top of the booking fee).
Less than 48 hours before the event
100% of the hire cost becomes due and is invoiced less the booking fee.
Exclusive benefits for tournament organisers
As organisers, you get some special extras:
Meal voucher
In general, meal vouchers are CHF 10.– per player. The respective tournament format is checked by sports Zugerland based on duration, court requirements and other factors.
Event promotion on the screen
Your tournament is promoted inside sports Zugerland (digital assets required, subject to quality).
Medals
sports Zugerland can provide medals for 1st to 3rd place. These are branded with the sports Zugerland brand.
Swiss Tennis licence
We hold a licence from Swiss Tennis and can therefore run official Swiss Tennis tournaments.
The organiser's responsibilities
The organiser is solely responsible for running the tournament and for:
Registering the players
Running the tournament
Handling the finances and entry fees
Paying for the hire of the facilities
Tournaments that require a permit (poker, for example) are not permitted.
